Thurston 911 Communications (TCOMM911) has upgraded the Thurston County Emergency Radio Network (TCERN) used by first responders to a new 700MHz P25 trunked radio system. All properties with an in-building ERCES (emergency radio communication enhancements system) which operated on the legacy TCOMM911 emergency radio system must have those in-building systems updated, if there is still a requirement for in-building coverage enhancement. This update will allow the ERCES to operate properly on the new radio network.
TCOMM911’s resources for property owners, property managers, vendors, building code officials, and fire marshals are provided on this webpage. Note that that information and resources are being updated regularly, so please check back often for updates.
October 2025 updates: 1) revisions to UL validation checklist, design approval process, and design approval process flow diagram have been posted; 2) new summary documents added for AHJ, vendor, and system owner audiences.
